MOBILITY & ACCESS:
Parking for our Victor Harbor tours is available along the esplanade, to meet at out boarding location, guest will need to walk approximately 200 metres along the Granite Island causeway to meet our vessel and crew.
Parking for our Wirrina Cove tours, is in the marina car park, located to the rear of the marina office. Guests will then meet the boat down the ramp to the right of the boat ramp.
Our vessels are rigid hull inflatable, with strong mesh-like seating. At the front of the vessel, seat belts are fitted and required to be worn as it can be a bumpier ride at the front of the vessel. We recommend sitting at the rear of the vessel for less bumpier ride.
Please see below for images on the vessels access and locations.
VISION & HEARING:
Onboard tours our Skippers & Crew offer expert commentary throughout the cruise. Our team often describe what our passengers are viewing as we move along, and when we know we need to take extra time to paint a picture for our guest, we do so with audio aids such as microphones, speakers throughout the vessel and visual aids onboard.
CULTURAL SENSITIVITY:
We work closely with the local Raminjeri & Ngarrindjeri people & traditional custodians of the Yarluwar Ruwe / lands & waters in which The Big Duck operates. Keeping open communication and collaboration with the local Raminjeri & Ngarrindjeri helps our team to operate respectfully and give our guests the correct information on the areas in which we work. Both our Big Duck vessels have undergone a cultural naming & blessing ceremonies :
