Booking name required at time of boarding as proof of purchase, our crew have a digital manifest to check customers in on booking.
Please be at the departure point at least 15-minutes before departure time.
Vessel will depart at departure time shown, no refunds will be given for missed bookings or/late arrivals.
Please allow ample time to travel to the tour departure location, find parking & get to the boarding point.
Refunds will not be given if customer cancels less than 24 hours prior to the departure time.
Full refund or/ credit is offered for cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to tour departure.
The Big Duck Boat Tours will offer an alternate date or/ full refund if the tour is cancelled by us (i.e weather).
All bookings must be paid in full to confirm booking unless stated or agreed otherwise.
We require a minimum of 2 passengers per tour & 6 passengers in any given day to operate tours. In the rare event that we have to cancel a day due to lack of numbers, passengers will be offered full refund or opportunity to re-scheduled tour.
Minimum age on ‘Southern Ocean Adventure’ & ‘Seal Island Tours’ from Victor Harbor is 2-years (due to safety). Children 2-15 yrs must be accompanied by at least 1 adult.
Minimum age on ‘Sea the Fleurieu’ tour is 12-years.
No minimum age requirement for Wirrina Ocean tours. Child ticket = 0-15 yrs on Sea Wirrina tours.
The Big Duck is suitable to run in most weather conditions, however in extreme cases we will either postpone the tour or/ offer a full refund. Sometimes when our Southern Ocean (Victor Harbor) Tours are unable to operate due to ocean conditions, ‘Sea Wirrina’ can still run, due to the protected nature of this coastline.
During whale season (June-September), where possible, the Southern Ocean Adventure Tour will include Whale watching. If there are no whales present we will endeavour to include other wildlife sightings, such as seals and dolphins.
Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed on any tour departure.
Marine Mammal watching regulations require a minimum distance of 300m from whales in the Encounter Marine Park.
Digital Waiver
Each passenger in your booking is required for sign our digital waiver before boarding our Big Duck vessels.
This means each passenger over the age of 18, must complete and sign their own waiver
Children under the age of 18, must have a parent or guardian complete a waiver on their behalf.
The waiver will be sent to the person who makes the booking via a email link (from our digital waiver partner ‘Werewolf’)
