Our crew member Rupert took this fantastic shot on his phone of a whale breach while out on the Big Duck Boat today. The whales were mainly concentrated around Miami Pde, Middleton to Basham Beach today. 3 sets of cows and calves.
Whales along the entire coast today, a bunch near Granite Island and the Causeway, more over closer to the Victor Harbor Yacht Club, a lone whales by Pullen Island and 3 Mother and calves at Bashams Beach. Numerous sightings were made throughout the weekend, on water most of our action was around the West Island area, from the land traveling Humpbacks and Southern Right whales were spotted from Waitpinga to Goolwa lookout. The first calf is now suckling in the Encounter Bay Whale Sanctuary. Below is a picture by Maddie of a whale in the lee area of Granite Island.
